Treatment Guide & Expectations for Radio Frequency Microneedling
RF Microneedling is an extremely safe and effective treatment that can be used on the face, eyes, neck, chest, and body. Adverse side effects are extremely rare. You should anticipate potential redness, swelling, or visible marks on skin for up to 2 days. You may experience some discomfort during the procedure, which will be minimized with a numbing cream. Some patients have experienced mild breakouts post-procedure.

We’ll take photos, cleanse your skin, and apply a numbing cream, which will sit on the skin for about 45-60 minutes.

The treatment begins! We guide a handheld microneedling device over the skin at a consistent speed. Depending on the treatment area, this will take between 15 minutes - 1 hour.
Once the treatment is completed, a healing serum and sunscreen is applied. Our team will check in a few days after your treatment to answer any questions.

Microneedling creates tiny microchannels in the skin using small gauge sterile needles, while Radio Frequency further activates deep into the skin by producing heat. These two techniques work together to activate your body to produce collagen, elastin, and new skin cells.

Most patients agree that the Sylfirm X system is easier to tolerate than other RF Microneedling treatments. Every person is unique and your experience will be too, and while some patients find treatment comfortable and pain free, others experience significant discomfort – anything from tingling and pressure to more of a deep intense heat or “zapping” feeling. A numbing cream will be applied pre-treatment to assist in making the treatment as comfortable as possible.

In most cases there is zero downtime. We recommend our patients plan for between 0-2 days of downtime, in case there is some mild swelling or redness.
We recommend avoiding makeup for the first 24 hours.

RF Microneedling is extremely safe. There is a chance that you will experience swelling, redness, visible marks, or breakouts post-treatment as your skin heals.

Expect to see improvements in your skin texture and tone within 1-2 weeks of your treatment. Increased collagen production will also continue over the following 3 to 6 months, delivering even more dramatic results in the months following your first procedure.
